FAMILY FIRST PROJECT | REMODEL
X
This home had a great starting point that functionality checked all the boxes. But it just felt a little cold and too modern for the young family who lives here. We strategically eliminated the original fireplace surround to create a floor to ceiling brick piece that is subtle but impactful. Cabinets were added to fill the gap between the upper cabinets and the ceiling and a new custom rounded hood was installed to maximize the ceiling height.
LOCATION: Omaha, Nebraska

Living Room.

Classic materials like linen slip-covered sofas, grained oak tables, and a touch of mohair gave this seating space comfort and durability but also kept it soft and inviting.
Living Room: BEFORE

A modern aesthetic that didn't fit the vibe for this casual family's environment.
Living Space.
The grand and bright living area is the central point in the home. A neutral yet inviting color palette was a must. The pass through view into the kitchen makes everything feel more open and connected.
Kitchen: BEFORE

A bold, dark, contrasting style that didn't suit the family's taste.
Hearth Room

Paint and furnishing make some serious magic in this revamped space.

The casual seating area is a favorite for kids to hang out with their friends.

Powder Bathroom + Mud Room

A powder bath is always a place to take a few risks. This space got a refresh with marble check tile and a warm wood vanity to offset the cool dark existing tile floors.
