BOSS BASEMENT
X
An unfinished basement that was ready to become the hang out for a young family and all of their friends. This space created a casual, inviting, and comfortable area to send teenagers or for adults to relax and watch a game.
LOCATION: Omaha, Nebraska
TIMELINE: 8 months
AREAS: Seating space, Living room, Game Room, Basement Bar
FAVORITE DETAIL: Book-matched walnut wall and ceiling

BAR

This space didn't require a lot of cabinetry for storage purposes. There is a large walk storage space directly behind that can be accessed through double doors.

So, instead, we used that large island area for double sided seating and added statements with the ceiling detail and beautiful lighting.
THE DETAILS.

This floating shelf looks simple but it a feat in engineering created by the contractor, Bearded Builders.

They mitered the front edge of the underside to create an even wash of lighting that you can see from the front.
LIVING SPACE.

The wood details throughout the space are book-matched Walnut. And with such a large area, we made sure that as many people as possible would have a comfortable place to sit. Built in seating behind the sofas, large island with double sided seating for 8, and a large sectional.

SITTING ROOM.

The space at the bottom of the stairs was a perfect nook for "party overflow". Our clients envisioned this as a space where groups can sit and talk without the noise of the game area or tv spaces.
MORE DETAILS.

A little bit industrial, and always cool.
